A Sales Exhibition of original prints by the GALLERY OF PRINTS

Opens on Wednesday, February 2, 2000 simultaneously at both galleries:
4th floor Art Walk SM-Megamall-A, EDSA, Mandaluyong City
3rd floor, Art Center Glorietta IV, Ayala Commercial Center, Makati City
Exhibits run until February 29th, 2000.

A presentation of views and maps, people and their costumes, by European artists from 1700 till 1899
The exhibition places particular emphasis on European art. Aside from original prints, excellent reproductions in limited editions are offered for sale as well.

Artists of the 17th and 18th century accompanied voyagers on their trips. These sketches and illustrations were – on their return – engraved or lithographed to the highest artistic standards and published in travel works about Asia and Circumnavigations, often in sumptuous hand-coloured editions that were widely read and became best-sellers in their times.

As one of the highlights of the Exhibition, The GALLERY OF PRINTS offers for sale rare original lithographs by Charles Andrews, done ca. 1859.
