VERY RARE copper engraving map from “Atlante Novissimo Che Contiene Tutte Le Parti Del Mondo”, Italian edition; This map is attributed to Dutch bookseller, publisher, and cartographer Isaak Tirion (1705 – 1765) – omitted in this cartouche which shows 1748 in an old hand. It is significant for the great detail of cities, villages, mountains, rivers, and islands.

laid on paper with watermark, verso blank, repaired split centerfold in margin with stains & small tears not affecting plate.
